As part of the Comprehensive Plan update, the Parks & Recreation Master Plan provides guidance on parks and recreation enhancements for the next 10 years. The City Council, Planning Board, and City Staff will use the Plan to make important budgeting and development decisions.
Throughout the process, the City will host a variety of community meetings, surveys, and engagement opportunities to allow the community to help shape the vision for Lenoir.

Freese and Nichols, Inc. is an engineering, urban planning, and architecture firm offering a wide range of services to public sector clients for more than 125 years. Freese and Nichols will lead the Comprehensive Plan and Parks and Recreation Master Plan concurrently.
The City Staff will lead the work with the consultant to develop the Plan and the community to ensure the implementation of the Plan.
