The Schertz Parks & Recreation Department will lead the work with the consultant to develop the Plan and the community to ensure implementation of the Plan.
Project Overview
The City of Schertz is in the process of updating the Parks, Recreation, Open Space, and Trails (PROST) Master Plan. The PROST Master Plan is a 10-year plan that will establish a community vision, help guide decisions, and create an action plan for Your Parks! This follows the recent adoption of the Schertz Comprehensive Plan (link to the plan provide under "resources" below).
Throughout the planning process, the City will host engagement opportunities to allow residents to help shape the vision for parks and recreation in Schertz. Visit this site regularly for updates and new engagement opportunities!

Parks & Recreation Board
The Board has 9 members who will act as ambassadors for the plan and ensure that the Plan reflects the community's vision and aspirations.

Freese and Nichols, Inc. is an engineering, urban planning, and architecture firm offering a wide range of services to public sector clients for more than 125 years. They worked on the City's Comprehensive Plan and continue to partner with Schertz for their Parks Plan.
